Component video and audio - for connecting your HDTV

Component video and audio - for connecting your HDTV

When you set up your home theater, you can see how the various components such as a DVD player, cable box or satellite, audio receiver, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Blu-ray will be confused because of TV. I'll show you how the individual components for connecting video and audio.

If you have a high definition TV, you best option would be to use an HDMI cable, connect the components to your TV. However, this requires components to have an HDMI input.Check if your DVD player has an HDMI input or cable box. If so then you can transfer to an HDMI cable, digital video and audio from a cable! If there is no problem, you can still get a DVD player or cable box to an HDTV with a component video cable. The back of the DVD player should be green, blue and red inputs (labeled Y Cb Cr or Y Pb Pr). If yes, then you're set. Component Video is an analog connection, which is not full HD, buttransmits only the video. You need a separate cable for analog audio, a 2-RCA cable (usually red and white) transferred. However, some component video cables are connected with the 2 extra audio cables for a total of 5 connections in a single cable. These are often referred to as 5-RCA Component Video Cable announced.

Blu-ray, Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 fatty acids would have an HDMI output for connecting an HDMI cable to do so. However, if you plan to use a surround sound systemfor audio, HDMI inputs could not. If this is the case, then you need an alternative way to get surround sound from these components.

The back should be a sound receiver optical audio or coaxial digital (S / PDIF) input. The connection quality would be a Toslink optical audio cable for audio input of the optical receiver. Optical audio is a digital signal, so you'd always the best quality from their equipment. The digitalCoaxial audio cable would be the best way to connect the second component to the receiver. These are used to transmit a digital audio signal clean. As a last resort, if you do not care much about the quality of your surround sound, will a standard red and white RCA cables do the trick.

I hope this has helped shape how to connect video and audio components.
